Heating symptoms

Tell us what changed.

You can book by symptom. We will narrow down the cause at the service visit.

No heat or cold air

The thermostat calls for heat, but the system does not start or the vents only deliver cool air.

Frequent cycling

The furnace starts and stops repeatedly, runs unusually long, or cannot hold the set temperature.

Noise, odor, or airflow

New rattling, banging, burning odors, weak airflow, or uneven temperatures across the home.

Delayed ignition or lockout

The system attempts to start, shuts down, flashes a fault code, or repeatedly fails to establish heat.

What we inspect

A repair recommendation based on the system.

The inspection follows the symptom and equipment type. It may include:

  • Thermostat, controls, and the call for heat
  • Filter condition, blower operation, and airflow
  • Electrical components and safety controls
  • Ignition, burners, flame operation, and gas connection where applicable
  • Heat exchanger condition and vent or flue piping
  • System operation after the repair or adjustment

If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds

Leave the area, avoid switches or flames, and contact your gas utility or emergency services from a safe location. Do not wait for a routine HVAC appointment.

Furnace repair questions

Before you schedule heating service.

Start with what the system is doing. The diagnosis happens at the visit.

Can I schedule furnace service if I do not know what failed?

Yes. Choose the heating symptom closest to what you are experiencing. We can diagnose the system during the visit and explain the next step.

Why is my furnace running but blowing cold air?

Possible causes include thermostat settings, an ignition or burner problem, restricted airflow, a control fault, or another system condition. A diagnostic visit is needed to confirm the cause.

What should I do if I smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds?

Leave the area, avoid switches or flames, and contact the gas utility or emergency services from a safe location. Do not wait for a routine HVAC appointment.

Will you explain whether repair or replacement makes sense?

Yes. After diagnosing the system, we will explain the repair, the equipment condition, and when age or recurring problems make replacement worth discussing.
